1. Activities of THE MINISTRY OF ART


CHEN KE solo exhibition at Kunstverein Viernheim finished
The first institutional solo exhibition of Chen Ke in Germany at Kunstverein Viernheim took place from June 19 – July 18.

 

Last opportunity to see ZHOU JIN HUA at Kunstverein Konstanz
The exhibition is still on show until September 27. The finissage on September 27 will be accompanied by a discussion on the Chinese contemporary art market. Burger Collection in Berlin
“Conflicting Tales: Subjectivity” is the opening exhibition of a four-part project which marks the beginning of a new phase of the Burger Collection’s activities, as it presents itself to the public under its own name and curatorial concept. The four parts of the quadrilogy correspond to four exhibition sites in different cities around the world, in which the Burger Collection will be holding temporary exhibitions based on different aesthetic key terms.

Sun Yuan & Peng Yu at Tang Gallery in Beijing

A remarkable exhibition we lately came across was the solo show of the artist-duo Sun Yuan & Peng Yu featuring their installation FREEDOM. Meanwhile the exhibition at Tang Gallery in Beijing has finished. For everyone being interested there will be very soon a documentation of their works including Freedom available. Constellations: The First Beijing 798 Biennale
“Constellations” inaugurates the 798 Beijing Biennale, bringing together over 70 Chinese and international artists for exhibitions in Beijing's 798 art district. Works do include painting, sculpture, works-on-paper, photography, video, installation, performance, sound works, media art, and site-specific public art. “Constellations” is exhibited in the 798 exhibition space as well as other venues located within Dashanzi Art District. Artistic Director of the Biennale is Zhu Qi.
