Dear Friends of THE MINISTRY OF ART,
First of all, we wish you all a great year 2010.
The year 2009 has set already a very high benchmark in regard to contemporary Chinese art but we are sure also 2010 will have its highlights.
Therefore, we already bring you today an overview on dates of art fairs and exhibitions in 2010 in China.
One of the first events, we are personally very excited about, is the upcoming solo show of Li Hui at Mannheimer Kunstverein on February 7th.

YOUNG CHINESE ARTISTS Book Presentation in Berlin
After book talks at shcontemporary, Art Basel Miami and the Ullens Center, the ifa (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen) in Berlin has invited us to talk about the young Chinese art scene and to

LI HUI solo exhibition at Mannheimer Kunstverein
The first institutional solo exhibition of Li Hui in Germany will open on February 7, at 11am, at Mannheimer Kunstverein. The show will run from February 7th to March 21st, 2010. The venue with its 7m high ceilings will be an amazing setting for Li Hui’s installation - a car object illuminated by over 13.000 laser lights.

Breaking Forecast: 8 Key Figures of China's New Generation Artists at Ullens Center in Beijing
Even so, it is arguable if you would consider all participating artist as “New generation” artists, the two year anniversary exhibition at the Ullens Center curated by Jérôme Sans and Guo Xiaoyan features artists such as Cao Fei, Qiu Zhijie and one of our favourite Chinese artist duos Sun Yuan & Peng Yu.
